Power Platform licensing calculator: questions.

How much does Power Apps cost per user?
Power Apps Premium costs $20 per user per month, and $22 for any term that starts on or after January 1, 2027 ($12 to $14 at the 2,000 seat tier). The pay-as-you-go per app meter costs $10 per active user, per app, per month, billed through an Azure subscription linked to the environment.
When is pay-as-you-go cheaper than Power Apps Premium?
For users who open few apps. Up to two apps a month, the meter costs $20 against $22 for Premium at 2027 prices; from three apps, Premium is cheaper. The calculator shows the crossover with your own user counts.
What is the difference between this calculator and Power FinOps?
The calculator works on the figures you enter. Power FinOps reads your tenant every day: who holds which license, who opens which app, pay-as-you-go usage and Dataverse capacity. It runs the same comparison for every user, adds the Microsoft changes coming, finds the savings and simulates your renewal.
Does the calculator cover the February 2027 enforcement?
It estimates costs, not exposure. To see who would be blocked from February 2027, take the five-question check on the February 2027 page, or ask for a Power FinOps diagnostic for the exact count per case.
